About Lidpal
Who we are
Lidpal is an online retailer operated by JAMALDAWON LLC, registered and based in Denver, Colorado.
We are not a manufacturer. We do not make tools. Our job is to find the right ones — to evaluate what is available on the market, separate the products that are well-built and honestly spec'd from the ones that are not, and bring those specific products to people who need them.
We sell one category: cordless electric ratchet wrenches. Not because it is trending, but because it is a tool that solves a very specific problem that a lot of people have — and most of them do not know the right tool exists until they have already wrestled with the job the hard way.
Who actually buys this tool
Most of our customers are not professional mechanics. They are people who own a home and a car and prefer to handle repairs themselves when they can. A few specific situations come up over and over:
- The homeowner doing a bathroom or kitchen repair — replacing a P-trap, swapping a faucet, tightening supply line connections. The space under a sink is cramped, and plastic fittings strip easily if you overtighten. A ratchet wrench with a variable speed trigger is the right tool for this.
- The weekend mechanic working on their own car — spark plugs, brake calipers, oil drain plugs. These are jobs where the bolt is in a pocket that a full-size ratchet cannot swing in. An electric ratchet runs the fastener out once you have broken it loose by hand.
- The apartment renter assembling furniture — bed frames, shelving, desks with dozens of recessed bolts. Hand-tightening gets tiring. An 8V ratchet wrench handles this without being overkill.
- The RV or trailer owner — maintenance on the road, in spaces where a full tool set is not practical. Two batteries and a compact form factor matter here.
- The person doing appliance repair at home — washing machine panels, dryer drum housings, dishwasher brackets. These panels come off with a lot of small bolts. An electric ratchet gets through them faster than turning by hand.
What these people have in common: they are not looking for a professional tool. They are looking for something reliable, reasonably priced, that does the specific job without requiring them to learn a new skill set.
How we choose what to sell
We do not list every ratchet wrench we can find. We evaluate options and carry only the ones that meet a specific set of criteria. Here is how we think about it:
- Specs must be accurate and verifiable. Torque rating, RPM, battery capacity, drive size — we confirm these before listing. If a supplier cannot provide consistent documentation, we do not carry the product.
- The tool must work for its intended job. A 22 ft-lbs 8V wrench is not suitable for engine bay work — we sell it for furniture assembly and light home repair, not as a substitute for a higher-torque model. We match the product to the use case, and we say so clearly in the description.
- Two batteries is a minimum. Most kits on the market include one battery. We only carry kits with two. Running out of charge mid-job is one of the most common complaints about cordless tools at this price point. One battery charges while the other runs.
- Variable speed trigger is required. A tool that only runs at full speed will strip plastic fittings. Every model we carry has a variable speed trigger. This is a non-negotiable for plumbing and appliance work.
- We do not sell products we cannot stand behind. If a supplier's quality control is inconsistent, or if we cannot verify the specs, the product does not get listed — regardless of price or margin.
We have looked at and passed on products that had inflated torque ratings, single-battery kits positioned as full kits, and tools with no variable speed that were being marketed for plumbing use. Those are the products we chose not to carry.
